Coffs Ex Services Bowling Club provided centre stage for the summer finale of Business House Bowls on Tuesday night. With only one round remaining and little separating many of the teams placed at the top of the ladder, winning their last round games would be a must for those who wished to take away the prestigious Business Bowls Award. Spectators are assured of some excellent bowling with a line up of some of Australia’s top players stepping onto the Coffs Ex Services synthetic greens for the time.
A talented line up of twenty four teams only, from four States will play for a lucrative $21,800.00 in prize money. The Coffs Harbour Master Pairs starts Monday 7th July and continues through to Thursday 10th July.

Last years winner, Patrick Reynolds & Aaron Sherriff will not be contesting their title as Sherriff has been picked in the Australian side and is playing in the Bowls Australia Grand Prix the same week.
The final of the 2006 Coffs Harbour Master Pairs was, without a doubt one, if not the best game of bowls witnessed on the North Coast in many a year. The standard of bowls was exceptional from the first to last bowl of the game.
The final between Commonwealth Games Representatives Richard Girvan and Wayne Turley (Taren Point) and Pat Reynolds and 2005 Player of the Year Aron Sherriff (Halekulani) kept the great crowd of spectators glued to their seats until the last bowl went down. At the seventeenth end the scores were 16 – 15 in favor of Girvan and Turley but a three, two and one shot against them over the next three ends put them 21 – 16 behind. Turley killed two subsequent ends in an effort to recover but finally went down 21-17.
